I'm a big fan of the ColdBox framework. I think the core MVC part of the framework is very intuitive and easy to get started with (the loads of documentation also doesn't hurt). And then as you get more comfortable with it and want to implement more advanced techniques, you can take advantage of the vast array of tools and extension capabilities that it provides, which is why (as Luis Majano frequently points out) it's more than just a framework, but a also a software development toolbox.
Be that as it may, I believe it's always helpful to look at different frameworks and methodologies for ideas and inspiration. The other day, I was checking out the ColdFusion on Wheels site.

At the age of 3, my son Eli was diagnosed with PDD-NOS, which is a "mild form" of autism. Although his condition is not as severe as those on the other end of the autism spectrum, he definitely has challenges (mostly in the realm of social skills with peers and language) that we are helping him overcome. The great thing is that he has deinitely made a lot of progress since his diagnosis (he is now 4 and a half).

Although I was born in the U.S., I live in the U.S. and I am a U.S. citizen, I lived most of my childhood (up to the age of 17) in Spain, where my mother is from. My favorite sport is football (or, in the Spanish, "fútbol", not American football), and my favorite sports team by far is Real Madrid C.F.. Naturally, I am also a diehard supporter of Spain's national team in the sport. For those of you who know about international football, you know that Spain has for a long time, been regarded as "underachievers" (a euphemism for chokers). Their talented teams always seemed to do so well in the qualifying rounds of tournaments and in the group stages, but they seemed to always fall short when the stakes were high in the knockout rounds.

I've been lurking around the ColdFusion blogosphere for a while now leaving the occasional comment, but now I've decided to start blogging myself. Why now? Well, the occasion that has prompted my first blog post is that I won a free pass to the CFUnited Conference!
A couple of months ago, Raymond Camden ran a contest in which people suggested topics for a session at the conference, then there would be a vote and the person with the winning topic gets a pass to CFunited. Yesterday on the CFUnited blog, it was announced that the winning session was "Prototyping for Smarties" with Hal Helms and Clark Valberg. Another entrant suggested prototyping as a topic, but the powers that be deemed my suggestion (interface driven development -- also by Hal and Clark) to be similar enough to the winning entry to grant both of us free passes!
